DARREN McCLURE
Softened Edges (LND003)
The tracks that make up Softened Edges were composed and recorded over
a six month period during which McClure collected field recordings to
incorporate into his compositions. Many of these sounds have been processed,
stretched or slowed down, while others have been left untouched. From
recordings of melting snow in January, crunching gravel in April and thunderstorms
in June to more subtle sounds like room tones, voices and tunnel ambience,
McClure creates soundscapes that express his interest in time and space.

MY FUN
Sonorine (LND002)
The Sonorine was usually a pre-recorded disc like a record but other
'talking postcards' allowed you to record your own message onto the
disc. I like the idea that these records allow anyone to capture a set
of sounds and replay them in a completely different environment as a
means of communication. When I started gathering the material for this
release, I wanted to capture recordings from specific places and then
present them framed and edited like you would with images on a postcard.

MY FUN
The Quality of Something Audible (LND001)
Debut full
length from My Fun. Two years in the making, the album lives up to its
title, including a vast array of sonic textures and diverse instrumentation
ranging from guitars and drums to harps and strings. Deftly weaving
field recordings and acoustic instruments into an expansive series of
sound pictures, the album works towards a brilliant fireworks climax
which leaves the listener ooo-ing and aah-ing for more.
