This is a recording made in Bath last fall '04 of church bells in the city center. While the echo and acoustics created by the local buildings was amazing, this also demonstrates my frustration with automobile noise that I seem to encounter everywhere I go.
I know recordings of the ocean aren't exactly the latest in exciting soundscapes but I thought I'd include a fine moment we had in July on the Gower Peninsula in Wales. A relaxing afternoon but not in a New Age/Shirley MacClaine sorta way.
My Fun has released work for a number of years under different names except Justin Hardison and has recently been exploring the use of field recordings and the electronic processing of acoustic sounds. With the aid of a couple of small microphones, sampling, and assorted software sound generation, My Fun aims to create narrative work without a particular musical genre determining the sound of the final output. He lives in Brooklyn, NY with his lovely wife and cat.
